The Tough Mudder (TM) event is meant to be an extreme test of toughness, strength, stamina, camaraderie, and mental grit that takes place in one place in one day.
It is not a race against other contestants, but rather a competition with oneself and the course.
The object is to finish the course.
The Venue is part of the challenge and the TM event will usually be held in hostile environments that might include extreme heat or cold, snow, fire, mud, extreme changes in elevation, and water.

Good morning Mud Slayers!
How is everybody doing? I am sore and my knee hurts.
But I am happy that we conquered the Tough Mudder together!
Until 2018! Right???
Good morning Mud Slayers!
It was a great event, great people, great team, no man left behind as the coach said.
Lets get ready for next year!
Hello everyone. It was a real pleasure. Had a blast. Great work, awesome team. Be proud that we all survived.
And finished that damn thing. Count me in for next year. Would love to see u all again in 2018 tough mudder.
Who knows maybe you all change ur mind.
This was truly a team event. It didn't pan out the way I thought it would, but
I accomplished my three goals: don't die, don't get injured, and finish.
At least I am not injured too badly!
Zero medic calls for the Mud Slayers!
I never would have thought that the hardest part for me would have been being able to stay on my feet to get to the obstacles.
Zero traction made for an incredibly long day.
Naji gets the Teammate of the Year award, but every single person on our team was there for a teammate in need and I am grateful for that.
Different sneakers probably would have resulted with a much, much, much easier time; now I have lots of memories, lots of laughs, lots of jokes, I even had a fan club lol.
I will train with you guys; I may even be the photographer if needed, but will I do this again?
Not a chance...
Thank you very much Jose for coordinating the event. I had fun doing it with everyone.
I think what surprised me the most is the amount of uphill climbing.
I guess I should have known based on the venue being a ski resort.
I was definitely not mentally (or physically) prepared for that aspect.
That was the most painful part. My legs feel like jello. I think light knee pads are also a good idea in the future.
My knees got a few bruises.
You did warn us about the mud aspect and it certainly was muddy and then some.
Undecided about next year, but I'll continue the CrossFit like training sessions during the year and then see.
What can I say?! The terrain was harder than I thought. Definitely didn't expect it to be as muddy and slippery as it was.
All in all, I'm glad that all of us made it through without any injuries.
Some obstacles were better than others. My favorite one was the Blockness Monster and the one I liked the least was Hold Your Wood, what a pain that one was.
I'll probably do it again if they change the location to something a little more flat. :)
Looking forward to seeing the pictures that they took.
Despite how much of a pain the terrain was, it was a good time! :)
Till next year Mudders!!!!!
Oh!! I forgot to mention another obstacle that was a pain: Hero Carry. My partner (who wasn't part of our team) slipped and landed on me while he was carrying me. That one was a tough one! :|
I had a great time. Thank you Jose and DaTwan for convincing me to sign up at the holiday party last year. Thank you DaTwan, Naji, and Kenyon for getting me ready at Brighton HS, Lost Borough, and LA this summer. Thank you everyone for getting me through the course!
I have 100 jobs. I didn't even have time to reply to this summary.
I'm on the couch recovering. I have a couple scrapes, a sore bum, sore tailbone and sore elbows, but other than that I'm fine.
The first 7 miles were fine. After that, I felt like a masochist.
Never say never, but I'd consider myself a probable 'No' for another Mudder.
It was great meeting everyone. I'm glad we all finished safely.
Walk through a pit of mud.
Crawl through a pit of mud.
Climb an inclined wall.
Climb a pile of hay bales.
Give DaTwan a piggy-back ride.
Climb another inclined wall, but this time there's mud.
Wade in waist-deep water while helping your team roll over large spinning blocks.
Walk/crawl through a pit of mud again but this time there are walls of dirt to climb over.
Again.. This time with barbed wire or a net or something that shocks you. Keeps you low and dirty.
Ascend a very slippery wall of mud on plastic by climbing over strangers.
Ascend a very slippery, sloped wall of plastic by launching yourself into the hands of strangers.
Crawl through a pit of mud; you'll feel claustrophobic - it's dark and water-weighted plastic is pushing down on you down.
Wade through a pool, submerge yourself under a barrel, and climb a ladder in a tube while water is dumped on you.
All of that training comes together: Climb a ladder, monkey bar out to a ledge and perform a pull-up to climb over a wall.
Jump into ice water and fully submerge yourself under a barrier to get to the exit.
Bring firewood around a loop of the course and put it back in the same pile you found it in.
Monkey bar up an incline and then monkey wheel down.
Cross a highly elevated set of rings
Non-legionnaires: Run through a web of things that shock you.
We trained 2 to 3 times a week.
We did Crossfit training at Brighton High School, and DaTwan's house.
We jogged with a big group at the Lost Bourough's Thursday runs.
We did Tough Mudder training at Webster Park Recreation Center.
We did strength training at our individual gyms.
Some of us (names aren't important here) had to take swimming lessons.
And this, my friends, is how we spent our time during the summer of 2017.
